In this oral history, we have the privilege of hearing from Emily McCorkle, the Director for Student Success in the Pamplin College of Business in 2023. As the Director for Student Success, Emily’s mission is to develop and implement various outreach and engagement strategies to aid in the empowerment, resiliency, and belonging of undergraduate students. In her interview, she touches on various topics which include her childhood upbringing, her Filipino-American heritage, and her experiences being an Asian-American woman throughout her academic and career journey.
